Documentation:

We need a quick start guide for Top Hat. If someone wants to lead this project (you can start with the XCSoar manual - copying and changing is allowed!) or start fresh.

If you'd like to help manage this website or anything else related to communications for Top Hat, go for it!

Testing:

With each new release of Top Hat, we test a lot of the new code, and regression test. This includes testing new XCSoar features that are merged into Top Hat. Post on the forum if you're interested in working with the developers to test new code.

Design:

The entire purpose of Top Hat is to create a good experience for Pilots and their glide computers. Design includes everything about that experience from button placement, to hardware selection to mental models of what it means to fly a glider.
